Excellent weather, plenty of wind but it was about 20 degrees off the hill. Decided to fly two rounds at a time, which gave us 10 rounds but in the variable conditions hindsight would probably stop us doing it again. An example would be Mark getting a thermal that lasted for his rounds 3 and 4 giving him a 36 and a 37 with poor old Greg next up getting a well flown 52 and 45. Not that I'm bitter, but if Mark had the same times as me in rounds 3 and 4, I'd have won by over 100 points ;-))
The Roger repaired Viking was excellent in the very crossed conditions. Filled her up with ballasted and she felt absolutely fantastic and for my money was the plane of the day. Roll on Winter League 3 on 9 January.
It was particularly good to see seven locals flying, and flying well.
Not many photos below; I was a tad busy and the light was crappy.
