What a bizarre day on Mickey's slope. Winds of around 30 mph made for some reasonable slope lift but is was the thermals and associated sink that was blowing through which really spiced things up. The strong winds meant no one really had the full ten legs of thermal but still each of the ten rounds was won with a good sub 40.
FTD was Gary Harrison who topped off a great days flying with a 34.20. Lots of people flew really well. For sure Gary was on great form, as was Alex flying his 2m DS Falcon to several sub 40s. And of course there's Greg, Captain Consistency, who never fails to deliver.
I just can't help wondering what might have happened if someone got ten legs of good stuff...
