Mark Abbotts put in some good training for his role as UK team manager for the Viking Race in Slovakia..  Mark is a stern disciplinarian and a keen advocate of regular team bonding sessions.  In a somewhat unorthodox manner, daily team meetings were held between 3 and 4 in the morning - but refreshments were provided.  May god have mercy on our souls.

There was one evening when Dieter and Peter K tried to infiltrate one of our tactical discussions to see what they could learn.  We cunningly threw them off the scent by encrypting our strategic plans using an unbreakable code known as 'talking bollocks'.   They finally gave up at four in the morning.  Professionals through and through - that's us.
