At last here are some photos and results from last week's event. Apologies for the delay, that's work for you.
The event was a bit of a triumph over nature as low cloud and indecisive wind looked like it might scupper us. We made a bold decision and set the course up on the back of the Wrecker in the low cloud, making an educated guess that the wind would end up southerly. Within half an hour the cloud lifted and a southerly blew up with the new found visibility - splendid!
Not so splendid was the variability of the first two rounds which did enough to put a few of us completely out of contention from the start. I must admit that half way through my 70+ in round two I started to walk away to land - never done that before - but I managed to get a grip of myself and keep going. Could've been worse, I could have been Mark Redsell or Mike Shellim!
Come the final reckoning Mark Southall was yet again pretty much faultless and thoroughly deserved his win - another top spot for the Skorpion too. It was great to see Greg stick his Acacia II into second and claim FTD with a 39.xx. Mike Evans was one of the amazing amount of guys who turned up with Stings (there were 10+ of them I believe!) and did his league position no harm at all .
