UK F3F 2005 League Results

Strange year; only three competitions completed in some pretty bizarre conditions, especially at Whitesheet. With only three of the potential seven competitions flown there were a few surprises in and out of the top ten. Then again only four rounds were flown in the previous year giving some equally strange outcomes, so I guess that's F3F.

Anyway, I'm not complaining as it's another league title for me to add to those in 99 and 02, making me the only three times winner since the UK league started, a fact I'm rather proud of. Particularly satisfying after my difficulties in Germany, which left me disappointed but more motivated than I've been in years. It was also very pleasant to win the Blade XL kindly supplied by South Coast Sailplanes, who really did a great job for the league again this year.

Thanks also to Ian Mason who did a smashing job in his last year as league co-ordinator.

Good to see new heights scaled by Passingham, Harrison and Redsell, who is definitely one to watch.
